help with my 2 angels??

i have 2 angels which ive had for about 8 months, yellow 1 is very territorial and doesnt seem to like the other (black) so picks at his sides etc but yestarday the black 1 started to fight back i think, they got lips to lips pushing each other. anyway i came home today to find the yellow with slight marks on her sides look abit like small bubbles but on the skin and the black has a huge belly suddenly. they now both have little tubes i think people call them under there bellys. are they fighting or making babies? im confused?

thank you.

They will lay eggs one a leaf or something. Generally they'l look after the eggs and fry themselves untill they lost the egg sack then ypu'll have to feed the fry.

Hmm, I had angelfish laying eggs before. They lay practically all, or most of their eggs on broad leaves.

I have ruffle swords, and amazon swords that they like to lay their eggs on. They are very territorial, and protective when it comes to laying the eggs.

Good morning. I agree it kinda sounds like you have a mating pair. Don't be surprised if they lay their eggs on anything in your tank including the intake hose to a HOB filter (if you have one of those). A first time egg laying pair do not always get it right so try not to be upset should they lay and no eggs survive.
I think Shawnie (moderator) posted a video a week or so ago of her angels and the eggs. Check out the video section on Forum Home. Best of luck.
