Little and large angel fishies

Hello

My friend is relocating to cyrpus and arrived on my door step with a small hexagonal tank (no idea really how many litres till I empty it out) complete with two black angelfish.

Apparantly they are the same age but one is twice the size of the other which hasnt grown since they got it, approx 4 months!. I notice it only has one eye, an empty socket. Its around 1.5 inches across and approx same tall. It also hides in a corner and is occasionally bullied by the other fish.

I have to leave them there until my new tank cycles and there is no room in my existing tank. Water in the tank is fairly high in nitrites (1.5) but ok for nitrates. there is also ammonia present (1.5), possibly from all the sloshing around in the car? They used to have guppy friends who died off. will change water as soon as the bucket warms up.

Is the little one likely to grow? Is there anything angle fishies need specially, they are new to me.

Thanks nice people

The tank is not cycled (probably why the other fishies died) In a larger tank the smaller angel will grow, but it sounds like the other fish have been bullying it. They may have also been keeping it from eating enough. You may have to separate them to keep them from killing it. Angelfish like other fish need a variety. They will eat flakes, thawed frozen bloodworms, shrimp and just about anything that hits the water. Mine are piggys.
We would love to see pictures of them and the tank
