Hi everyone, when I finally have time in June I would like to get some tanks back up and running. And my mom has been bugging me for the longest time, and she wants some marble angels. they would go in my 27 gallon hexagon tank which is very deep (2ft) and from what I've heard they like tall/deep tanks. I would use an aqua clear 50 power filter and a Perfecto under gravel filter, I would be using air pumps not power heads for the UG filter. would this tank be accommodating to 2-3 marble angels? I don't what to end up with too many fish. would this tank work for them? please answer because she has been bugging me about posting this question! thanks again!

that tank would be great for them...but why is she in a hurry for an answer now? june isnt around the corner LOL

I know but I guess she wanted to know If she could have them in there or not, she grew up with a tank full of em as a kid. I think that if the tank wouldn't work she wanted to start looking for a bigger/different one. so how many can I have?

well id get 4 juvies and watch for about 5-6 months for two to pair up...you will probably have to return the other two if that happens...

They would be stunning in that tank although I wouldn't use the underground filter. A couple of pretty sword plants for them to swim through... ah yes I can see it now

I can too! it will look really good with the plants and everything, I like Shawnie's Idea, but I don't necessarily need to breed them. thanks guys!

I would still use a bubble wall instead of the UG filter right?

I wasnt telling you that info for breeding..it was more for protection of the ones left out LOL ....even if you dont want to breed, ive seen two fems pair up and lay eggs but of course nothing happens without a male...just becareful if they do pair as they dont live up to their name in that instance they are very mean as a pair

Its not a necessity seeing as how the live plants and HOB filter will produce enuf oxygen but they do look cool. :P

I would tell her that it wouldn't work,to see if she did get a bigger aquarium (insert evil grin here),no I don't condone lying to ones mom,its just the MTS talking!!!!!! MUAHAHAHAHAAAAA
