My Angelfish........

Hi

As some of you guys know, i have been waiting and waiting and hoping my angelfish pair up and breed as i really want to breed them.

Well in all the upside down happenings on monday i found that i actually had a pair and that they had layd eggs on a leaf!!!!!!! Oh man, i was so happy and excited. However i noticed that a few eggs were getting fungus infected and by eating the infected ones the female ate a few of the good ones too. By today theres nothing left. I cant say i'm that disappointed. I'm just glad that they finally paired and are laying eggs. I hope that they lay another batch soon and i'll keep an extra eye on these and if they seem to want to eat all again, i'll raise the eggs myself. I'm getting methylene blue todayto help keep away the fungus.
Just wanted to let you guys know!

Ta

I'll post a pic of the parents asap

Methane? or Methylane?? don't know how to spell it

Just one thing.

I hope you don't put iodine in the water too :S

Good luck with the angels.

Just try to turn off the filter, and leave lot's of plants for the angels to lay eggs.

Also if the babies ever hatch. Do a 5-10 % water change EVERY DAY and I mean every day

Baby Angels are very delicate.

Methylene blue is what people use in the water to prevent fungus.
Um? Who would put iodine in fish water?

Hi Sabi
sorry to hear that you lost the eggs, but at least now you do know that you have a pair that are spawning! Since I do not breed my angels and keep them separate, I have heard tho that the angels, til they get it right do end up eating the eggs. good luck with future spawns!
