Your not having a problem with the angels laying eggs are you Shawnie?

If I were you I'd be lucky to have those eggs. I could have baby angels coming

You do know they make good money, and it could be difficult to raise, or it could be very fun to raise them.

well I kept mom n dad in there just separated all the others....and I also am keeping the lights on as you suggested dave in hopes that they dont mistake them for a snack...so far so good...but next time, if they snack them, ill put mom n dad on the other side of the divider

Look for one of those blue LED night lights at a store like target or walmart. I put one of those on an extension cord so I can hang it down over the light fixture and it gives night lighting to the eggs but leaves them darker spots for sleeping.

How are they doing with this batch?

well, I got up on day two, and the eggs were gone...so before work , I took out the divider...I went to feed them before I left, and the buggers didnt eat the eggs, they moved them~!!

So I rushed to put the divider back in hoping not to freak them out too much, and here we are on day 5 with wigglers...sorta LOL ...if you look really close on one leaf with the green gravel pebble on it and the one right under it, you will see hundreds of lil wigglers ...I have kept the divider in with the lights on 24/7 and seems to have made a difference...you can even see dad feeding them a bit of food on this new vid...I still keep hoping !!

well carol, I thank you so very much for your help..and as I was going to move the eggs out, I freaked cause they were gone again!!! I looked everywhere and nothing...well there was nothing cause as you can barely see in the vid, they are all free swimming now LOL ....sooooooooo ...do I leave the babies where they are and move mom n dad? do I leave everyone aLone as theres plenty of hiding spaces? theres no way im going to be able to catch these tiny babies....I need a calgon moment I think!!!!!

If there are other fish in the tank besides the angels I would move the babies but if only the angels are in the tank I would move mom and dad. Now let me tell you the easy way to catch angel fry... siphon them out into a bucket I usually leave mom and dad a few so they don't freak out even though they usually eat them.

Wow! I'm jealous.. i'll have to play those vids for Fred & Wilma Congrats!

Our best batch was 81 wigglers and I'd say we have at least 3 dozen of them with none lost in almost 2 months.. They're about 5 months old. So you may end up with quite a few adolescents if they do well and looks like they certainly will.

I Hope so ..right now I have some babies in a breeder net and left some with mom n pop...I left the lights on for a full week and a half until they were free swimming....not sure if that made the difference but they didnt eat them!! I also put up a divider so no other fish was near the fam ...got pics of your 5 month babies?

I'll be taking some pics this week since I have to find them new homes at the fish auction Friday. They're just getting too big now. I'll have to post them as soon as I get the chance. Can't wait to see pics of your little ones. They are so cute and I love watching them grow.
