Feeding Time

I brought my two angelfish home after work last night and have yet to see them eat. From everything I read angelfish are supposed to be very good voracious eaters. Is there something wrong with my new angelfish or is it just taking them time to adjust to their new home?

time to adjust is my guess...they are fish that take time to acclimate to new suroundings ...

Id give it at least a week for them to settle down..and a varied diet will let you know what they like ...goodluck! they are beautiful for sure

I agree with everyone above. Just give them some time. I recently purchased 2 Angels myself and they took about 2-3 days before they really started eating. Once they adapted, they started to eat like crazy.

Good news. Day three and they finally decided to eat. They didn't go for the flakes or the bloodworms, but they really seemed to enjoy the sinking wafers I give to my cory cat.

LOL isn't that the way it always is My angels always share what ever I feed to the bottom dwellers.

Angels are very shy at first, they need some time to get used to their habitat. It depends on many angels. Mine usually take 2-3 hrs to get used to their habitat.

Sometimes I had some that took 1-3 days to get used to. Same with any other fish usually, just not african cichlids I believe, they are already voracious animals
