ANgelfish are amazon fish so anything that grows in the amazon is great. No pots, they like broad leave to lay eggs on...like the amazon sword.

They actually get big but some types are faster growers than others.. You can get different species of the sword...mine use like laying eggs on the anubias too.

My angels love alot of different things.. I have a pic if you would like to see it, but I have in there a fish bowl tipped sideways (they layed their last batch of fry ontop of it), a flower pot tipped sideways, a hampster igloo, silk plants , a little cave, fake driftwood, one of those clay pots shaped like a duck...etc...

they pick a certain area of the tank to call theirs a few times a week...so not sure what they prefer LOL

goodluck!

im not a pro on angels but i do have 2 young marble angels in my 72G and i understand that they like a nice tall tank so they can spread their fins easily and i belive they also like a lot of plants, live of fake, to swim around and through good luck with your tank

i really really really want a pair of black angelfish, can i identify their genders using their head roundness, colour of eyes, thickness of their bodies, or anything like that

the maximum number of angelfish i can have is 3 of them, do u think the store will take one of them back if it is not in a pair??

well i used to have an adult pair of koi angels and the male had a rounded lump on his forehead where-as the female didnt at the moment i believe my angels are male and female by looks but they are still to young to properly sex.

It would be a good idea to get 3 angels and let them live together and eventually 2 should pair off, then take the odd one back to the LFS or find it a new home.

Our angel pair really loves their BIG cave.. it's got openings big enough for a full size angel to swim in and out of.

Amazon swords is what I keep in my tank, and angels like to sleep on them, and eat them. Talk about eating your own bed HAHA.

Although they are delicate, and can get sick easily just like mine are right now.

Don't get Altum Angels if you don't know how to raise them.

Somehow I am still trying to figure out what I should do to get my fishes healthy again :S
