angel blowing bubbles?

I have an angel fish that appears to be making a bubble nest..is this normal behavior for them, or is something else causing the bubbles? I mean from what i have read nothing has said that they make bubble nest, and that they lay their eggs on flat surfaces. Is he just bored? lol

I've never seen our angels do that, or heard of an angel making a bubble nest. Do you have a pic?

Yes i will take a pic..i mean I noticed a film on top of the water similar to that of a betta. Then i woke up the next morning and bubble bubbles everywhere! They are still there

Did you use any medicines in the water and do you have a bubbler?

Do you have low circulation and or live plants? This will cause a film on the top of the water sometimes which traps air bubbles creating a foamy look, its not harmful to anything though as long your aeration is good (no air gasping by your fish) if you dont like it try lowering the water level enough to let the filters splash more, this will break the film up and clear up the top of the water.... the live plants may not like that much though

That must be it, i have lots of live plants in it. But on a sad note.. i woke up and both angels were dead. I tested the water and ammonia was at 0, nitrites were at 0, nitrates were at 3, and pH was 7.6. The only thing i was adding to the water was vitachem and guarlic guard, because this was my quarantine tank. I really dont know why they died though...it doesnt make any sense. They both looked happy and healthy showing no signs of illness (ie. closed fins, listlessness, sitting at the bottom..etc).
