Just a few questions

1) So far my angels have only gone after the hikari micro pellets I've been using for my zerba danios and silver tip tetras because they are semi-sinking and shrimp pellets my cories share with them. They're about 1.5" in diameter now but it seems the hikari freeze dried bloodworms are still a little big for them. They ignore the omega one flakes my killifish gulp down and the freeze dried shrimp are only small enough for the killies to fit in their mouths. What should I look into feeding them as they grow?

2) Shortly after I brought them home they started really showing some color. The one is mostly silver with orange along the top of its head with two medium sized black spots on one side and two smaller sized faint black spots on the other. The other angel is silver and has I believe its four blackish stripes. Before the stripes were dark and easy to see but now they are very, very faint - you can really only see the one through the eyes and right before the tail now. I noticed this right about the time I noticed its eyes turning red - they're about three quarters of the way completely red now. Is this a good thing, bad thing, something that just happens?

3) Everytime I go to watch the tank the angels are all over. They use to be rather skittish and would dart to the back at any sudden movements as well as clamp their fins. Now they just come right up to the front as if they are showing off their fins and doing their best betta impersonations (they recongize the micro pellet pouch - they are the ONLY fish I have that doesn't assume they are getting feed just because there is someone infront of the tank). Now everytime my mother comes around she slowly pulls up a chair and starts looking for everyone and everytime she says one of the angel's has its fins clamped. Its usually spot but sometimes its stripe (I'm holding off on names until I can figure out genders - I'm hoping I'll beable to anyways). My mother is very good about how she comes up to the tank so I don't think she's scaring them but could it be they just don't recongize her or they just put me and food together and are hoping they get lucky if they be good little fishies? (I know they are aware my father doesn't like them - he's always calling them demonfish or hellspawn but he watches the tank from a distance so I doubt they are aware of when he is watching ... he has angels that hate all his neon tetras shortly before I was born heh)

We've got angels that are smaller than your angels and they'll eat thawed, frozen Hikari bloodworms. They also eat cyclo-peeze flakes.

From what I've seen of our angel fry, they do keep developing color as they are that young.

The clamped fins could be them getting excited at the thought of being fed, it's hard to say for sure.. but our Pebbles will do that, especially with her tail fin when she dances for food.

Saddly I can't even think about any frozen food. Only thing fishy allowed in the kitchen is the watering can for water changes heh. Cyclo-peeze looks familiar, I think I might of had some at some point - definatlly have to look for some. They go right after the mirco pellets but I think thats just because they're a nice size. Is it save to say flakes for cichlids would be good for them?

Probably the one downside to buying young fish - just don't know what to be expecting ^^

Really? Hm - then perhaps they are trying to beg my mother for food then. Naughty little fishies - there's a reason why my mother doesn't feed any of the pets (poor cats get overfed enough heh).

Thanks a lot

Have you tried soaking the dried bloodworms in a cup of clean treated tap water? They might find them easier to eat when soft. I know our little ones swim around with the bloodworm sticking out of their mouth as they eat it bit by bit.

I went ahead with soaking them in garlic guard - just have to feed at both sides now, those guppies are vicious!
