Lone female laid eggs lol
Ziggy is all alone in the 120g, except 2 fancy plecos and yesterday she laid eggs. Most are gone this am of course, being unfertilized and all. But she is very protective of eggs, so cute.
Of course she is in breeding mode when the male is in sick tank   |

A few hours usually depending how many times she freak outs on other fish in the tank. She'll lay a line of eggs, then go chase one of the plecos away. |

She's gone in the sick tank with him...we are disinfecting the 120g over the weekend. She probably need another dose of meds too. Seems they all do here right now.  |

Most live bearers Guppys, mollys, platys etc) deliver about every 28 days
some of the Goodieds about every 60 days.
Angels can lay eggs about every 2 weeks
Allie- I think my Blues are both female  tey lay like clock work but then they fungus. AAAARRRRGGHHH Cross your fingers maybe "he" just hasn't got things figured out yet.

My he is a he... has bred with my silver female a few times before we had to sell her. He was doing the male part some of the time.

They certainly more interesting than I ever expected them to be. 
I have wanted angelfish since I was a kid...but we didn't have tanks growing up. We had a goldfish BOWL with 2 goldfish who died very fast (gee I wonder why?) |

Thanks, she always been my favorite. They were only 2" big when I got them in Feb/07. I had 13 (3/13 were male)angelfish at once in our 120g. You wanna see a bunch of cranky female angelfish?!!  My dominant female was always fighting with them all...except Ziggy, the one in the pix. She has always been a good girl. Kept to herself.
They do better in formed pairs per every 20/30gs. |

I really love my angels and do have 2 proven pairs. when the Blues displayed breeding tubes and spawned they looked like a pair BUT....... maybe not
