They are a pair now!

Smokey, my male and Ziggy my female have finally paired off. It's been months since they've been the only angels in the tank. I knew it was a matter of time.
I wonder if they are going to lay eggs soon? Their breeding tubes are out. I put them in the 15g to be treated with Prazi pro and they've been doing the pairing off thing ever since. Maybe once the worms are gone I will try keeping some baby angels to grow out. I've never had angel fry even tho I've had 13 angelfish and my pairs bred like nuts.
They are flirting, possibly breeding and they have worms. Eww!

Yes that is our datnoid in the back ground, 15g is cheaper to treat than 33g. Plus we had to disinfect the 33g, now it is cycling AGAIN.

Too bad they won't survive...to much illness right now. But at least when they are healthy again. I can try to raise the fry.

If they lay you could always remove the eggs and take care of them from there

We've tried that once and it failed, no myth blue.
Plus we want to be sure everyone is parasite free before breeding.
They have been locking lips and parading around all day. Crazy fish.

How are they doing? Our pair just laid eggs this morning. I expected them to when the breeding tubes were out yesterday and Wilma was cleaning the piece of slate.

Allie, Dave- When your angels lay eggs do they tend to lay in the same place every time? I'm just curious because mine do even if I move what their used to laying on to another part of the tank.

They are doing fine...still hanging out together. We have them in the 120g with a Datnoid and 2 plecos, so any day we should have some breeding action.

Nope, they lay in different spots plant leaves, glass, UV sterilizer & if I put the breeding cone in, they will use it every time.

Thanks Allie, I was just wondering. One of my pairs lays on this one Anubias leaf every time, another pair lays on the top of a BN cave (even when I moved it to the other end of the tank) and one pair lays on the silicone in the corner).

Other than the spawning before this one, when she laid eggs on the filter intake tube, she does. Wilma kept choosing the heater, then I put the slate in and she has laid eggs there every time except once, even when I moved it. I think the move is what caused her to lay eggs on the intake.

Yea, they are. It's going to be tough giving up the fry when they're old enough.
