Hi, today i have had a 20 gallon tank and would like to mainly keep angels. How many is best? some sites say pairs and others say odd numbers :S

also are they compatible with platies?

Welcome to Fishlore. With a 20 gallon tank, I'd get 1 angel fish. I would recommend at least 30 gallons for a pair.

Yep, I agree A pair would need the swimming room of at least a 30g.

I would say one angel in a 20 gallon. The adult platies are fine if you plan on having baby platies don't expect to make them to adulthood. I have 3 swords in my 29 gallon tank and my angel keeps the population at 3.
