Moved six 28 day old angels and put them in the 30g long grow out tank. The pics aren't good by any means but I wanted to show my babies off they are about the size of the eraser on a fat pencil. Some of them don't quite have their angel "wings" yet
In two weeks the second group will be 28 days old and will move them to the 3og long. Pulled the third group today

I can't wait to get some angels in my 75 gall tank ! it is so empty ! has been cycling for last week and this week . Have been battling with Malaysian Hatchet snails , that got from from the rocks . Apparently the snails were in there !

the blue angels I was hoping would pair up have spawned. this is their third set of eggs and I'm hoping he's getting a clue as to what his job is LOL He seems a little slow to cover. Here's some pics of them spawning.

Here are the Rams. It's the only decent pic they would let me get so I didn't start a separate thread
There are three(1 male/2 females) in the 55g with a BN and two angels. so far so good.

Yay so glad the blues you wanted to pair up are working out!

Wow, you sure have a lot of baby Angels... I would be so overwhelmed!

Congrats!

Thanks Dave. so far today the eggs look good. I will probably wait until they've gone wigglers and then remove 1/2 of them and leave them the other half and see what happens.

I'd love too!
Since we can never know the true genetics of our angel fish unless we get them from a breeder I don't know what the fry will look like. Supposedly the silvers are from the same parents as the blues. Since there has been a little delay in maturity I think they probably aren't from the same spawning, but maybe a later one. Don't know that that will make a difference.
That means brother and sister have spawned together. thats OK for one generation but I won't breed any of the fry back to parents or Bro and Sis.
Some breeders do breed the second generation back but I feel thats too much close interbreeding. I haven't seen any shortened gill plates or bent fins from the silvers that are fry yet but they are still small and hard to tell.
