Hi Ozzie, Welcome to Fish Lore

The vacuum should work, don't know why it wouldn't, are you having a particular problem with it?

You can use a turkey baster to get any waste you might have missed.

dunno when i make a water change i vaccuum the gravel and a dead coral i have on my fishbowl as decoration but i suppose the suckin action is too low or the poop is too sticky...ill try the turkey baster trick... because the fishbowl have 3 months already i dont know also if its time to clean all the gravel instead...as the fishes seem very pritty and happy (they see me and want food food hehe) i dont want to make anything wrong.

lol, Yeah, they see you coming and think yippee here comes food!

Fish waste and left over food turns into ammonia, and you don't want that.

Are you wanting to take the fish out and rinse the gravel?

There's a thread here somewhere about how to use a gravel vac. I'll look for it.
In the mean time, someone else might pop in with some suggestions.

edit: ah, here is capekate's thread, maybe this will help you:

awesome video lucy thanks!!!....yes i was thinkin on the weekend takin the fishes with their water to big plastic bucket then clean all the gravel takin it out to a container... then using a hose with tap water and rinsing with high pressure to force any dirt of the gravel out... throw out the dirty water away... repeatin the process till i feel the gravel is very clean... add a bit of water to the gravel (and some drops of de-chlorinator, wait 30 mins... returnin the gravel to the fishbowl, then the fishes with their water. Im not very concerned of cleaning the gravel with tap water because water here is very clean and tropical, angelfish are tropical fishes anyway...but that just and idea... but if using the vacuum is enough then i wont go for the extreme cleaning.

extreme cleaning could throw you into a mini cycle...I agree with lucy that just a turkey baster or a light vacuum will be enough ...do you have pics of your angel babies?

Welcome to Fishlore.

You'll want to move them to a larger tank soon to allow for better growth.

I have heard that it is sort of hard to tell... Are you planning on getting a new tank? Angels are supposed to have at least 20 gallons...
