My advise would be if you have a peaceful happy tank now, I would not add a pair of Angels. Just my opinion, as I have had two Angels in a community tank that is 29 tall as well. They are now separated due to aggression between the two. They may be cute when they are small but once they start to mature they can get pretty nasty to each other. I have one in my 55g with cardinal tetras and d. cichlids, they do not bother the small fish in my tank. If you get a pair, would you have the place/space to separate them if the aggression starts? Maybe an option would be to get only one angel? Then after it matures you will have to watch for any aggression towards your guppies. I have never had guppies so do not know if they can be fin nippers or not. If they are, Im sure the long fins of a Angel would be tempting.

One would be a better option as i have had no trouble keeping angels and guppies before.

I think it's 50/50 on it working so I'd agree with ck and have a backup plan just in case.
