Mating pair woe

My two angelfish spawned a couple weeks ago, this was their first time spawning. Now two weeks later, after I put their fry in a breeder box the female is attacking the male anytime he gets near her. Does anyone have or has anyone had a mating pair of angels do this? Four times in a row he has gone near her and she has attacked him...not too viciously but it's obvious she wants him away from her atm and he isn't fighting back. I had a community tank and they fought off everyone else in it until I had to remove them, now they're alone, with their fry in a breeder box above them. What else should I do? I have a divider but would hate to have to seperate them when they've been doing so well together and I've already done all of this for them.

Mine fight all the time. The first time they laid eggs, my female went crazy attacking the male. Right my female needs to kept alone...she is aggressive as heck. Sometimes separation is like a time out. When you put them back together they may get along.
Angelfish are pretty aggressive, much more than I was expecting.

That's helps alot. Thank you.

Luckily, since making this thread, she has calmed down some. She is allowing him to come near her and they are biting one of the driftwood ornaments and the filter together from time to time (which I guess means they're looking for a good area to spawn again??) but if she gets aggressive again then I won't risk him losing a fin and I'll whip out the divider for 2-3 days. Then when I remove it, hopefully she'll act like he's her long lost lover as opposed to a chew toy.

LOL.. I guess Angels are like any fish with a lot of personality - they love to drive us crazy but we love them!
