Eggs! Eggs! Eggs! What to do?

Okay, so I have two angels. They've sprayed eggs all over a spot in the tank. Problem is I have 6 serpaes and 6 rasboras in the tank with them. They keep chasing all the other fish away. Should I take the serpaes, rasboras and corys out and move them to another tank? Or what's going to happen. My FIRST batch of angel eggs btw.

The eggs probably won't make it the the night, ours never do. The parents usually get freaked out by something & eat them.

Well just in case. I am looking into getting a tank divider for a 55 gal. Sigh. Right now they won't let the other fish anywhere near.

Cool, I got a tank divider and everyone but the two angels are on one side and the angels along with their eggs are on the other.

Good hopefully they won't be like our pair. Good luck!

Thank you. The eggs are still there and only two have turned white.

A little update: I've moved every fish except my two angels to another cycled tank and removed the divider. Including the pleco. Was going to leave him in since he only eats algae but don't want to risk him sucking those eggs. There are easily a few hundred, about 20 of them have turned white and are dead. From what I've read, the ones that aren't white after day 2 will likely hatch. They have yet to hatch, haven't noticed any tails out of them yet but first time I do, tha filter is shutting off. I've vaccumed my gravel and did partial water changes but now I want to leave everything alone until something happens.

One big question. If they hatch and many of them survive, what on earth do I do with them

Have you contacted any local fish stores? They may buy your angels once they're a certain size.

Or you could put an advert in local papers or websites near you.

no filter isn't good, tho you need a sponge over the intake. i had angel babies once, years ago... even when they hatch, there's a chance the parents will eat them. you'll need some baby food, and it's generally easiest to make sure they get fed in a smaller volume of water... many breeders use a big pickle-jar as soon as they have eggs... just have to come up with a way to keep the temp constant, and put an airstone in there... after they're swimming better they could be moved to a bare-bottom 20g or so, with a sponge filter. they also need LOTS of water changes, they're really vulnerable to all sorts of things when they're teeny...

they're such cute babies, good luck, and congratulations!

Okay. I'll do a water change daily. The filter is currently off and we're about to get a sponge, fish netting or nylon to wrap around the intake. They have hatched and so far the parents haven't eaten them but they (the mom and dad) have fought amongst themselves. What does this mean?

they're just antsy about the whole parenting thing... i mean, if you suddenly had hundreds of babies, wouldn't you be a little on edge? the male will probably hound the female a little bit, that's his macho genes trying to show her he knows best... typical.
