Angel tank suggestions

Hello every one, My wife got me a new 60 gal. tall tank for christmas and i would like angel fish and was looking for a few suggestions as to what would mix and I already know that there will be 6 corys in it. It will also be a planted tank and I,m really only looking for one more species of fish to stock any advise would be greatly appreciated. Once cycled and fish added i will post pics. Thanks again

i would only get to angels.. i bet there going to love that tank though..well first of all you want to make sure you put the angels in there last, that way when you introduce the angels they will have to find a new teritory ..what im saying is that if you put htem in there first and one of you other fish comes up and goes in there teritory you will have isuses, you should look into the lager types of tetras. neons and cardnails would work bu tnow for long eventualy they would be viewed as food, but some people sucesfuly keep them with angels. look for fish 2 inches and up that wont be overly agessive but arent whimps either. bloodfin tetras are a nice size fish they dont have a ton of color but are cool looking, and they are very active if kept in a school. angels can be pretty sensitive to so its good that you have the tank fully cycled, anymore questions, feel free to ask

welcome to fishlore!

Angels will get along with peaceful smaller fish, but if they buddy up or go into breeding, those little guys will be toast.

Bottom dwellers are good and you could look at loaches - you have room for some Kuhli loaches or even look at the Yoyo loach. How many angels are you planning to put in the tank?

Hi, Welcome to Fishlore....

Great tank idea. You are lucky to have a sweet wife that loves you enough to get you a tank! What kind of angels are you interested in?

You may already know, but when planning the planting part a couple of links that will help:

www.plantgeek.net

www.gorillot.com/aquatools/php/index.php?select=7

It sounds like you have the cycle information, but in case you didn't see it there are articles about that and starting a tank in general up at the top of the page, under articles. There are a lot of quick references here if you just look around. The search tool will help you find all sorts of posts on past subjects.....

One post you will want to look at from a couple of days ago, Isabella's planted 75 with angels....they are +++++quality, and it shows just how lovely a tank can be. Good Luck

DON't put a yo-yo loach with the angels because they with nipp the **** out of there fins. I know this from experience. But if you are getting young angelfish neons will be fine because they will get used to having them around so when full grown will not eat them!!! LOL!!!
