My angels are pairing off...finally!

I am SO excited!!
It's been months since my last 2 males passed away...I have been waiting to see if my black angel was a male or not. It's the only one out of the 13 I had the past 9 months I have figured the sex out. I hag a feeling it is male since I picked it out at quarter size back in March.
My black angelfish & my silver female have been fighting & locking lips ALL day. Chasing away my female zebra angelfish. The black one's breeding tube is sticking out & it's pointy (like my other males) I SO hope he is a male, but I can't be 100% sure until and if I see them breed. He doesn't have a fat (egg belly) but she does.
I hope they pair off and he is a he for sure. So far all signs point to him being a he.
I am SO happy!!

I am hoping so, but we haven't had much with angelfish breeding. They constantly lay eggs. Only to get spooked and eat them or other tank members have a buffet.
Thanks, we'll need it.

yea, he's a male and is there any way you might be able to isolate the eggs from the other fish, like with a tank divider or a breeding tank for them maybe?

Oh if they pair off for sure...they will be getting their own tank after we move. I just don't want to have to move too many tanks when we move...especially in the winter.
This is making me want to get 2 more angels...but I can't right now. We are getting some Malawi cichlids in the next week or so. I want too many fish. That's the trouble with having large tanks...you can keep adding fish, but that means spending more money.

i think thats everybodys problem...the tank is never big enough...unless you have 2 100+ gal. tanks...
thats where the "just one more tank" starts to add up

We manage to fill up all our tanks no matter how big or small they are. So we end up with more tank s and fish less space for us. lol

Nope they get along fine except the occasional lip locking. I only have 3 angels left....all the others were aggressive females that were sold to different people. Angel was one of my "lesbian" fish hope she got it right this time.
