Please Help!

Survivor is looking very bad! This morning i noticed her sitting in one place, but didnt worry too much as i thought she just wasnt "up to it" or something and i didnt see any signs of disease. However through out the day she was pretty much the same. Tonight i saw her go to the top of the tank. I had fed the fish tubifex worms and it was floating at the top so i thought she was eating it and all was well. But just now she was still at the top and she was opening and closing her mouth, not fast but she was taking rather "too long breaths". Also after a while she started swimming round, not fas,t but every now and then. Finally there a reddish colour around her mouth + gills and the gills are puffing out when she breaths. Just now she was laying on her side but got up again. What could be the problem? I have put her in a breeding box to keep the other fish from troubling her.
All help appreciated.

Info:
NitrAte: 10
NitrIte: 0
pH:7.5
Temp: 28'c
Ammonia didnt test , still have to figure out how to use. but dont think anything is wrong with water quality

Re: Please Help!

Hmm

Any simptoms you recognize from any of the Fish Disease websites? ( http://www.fishlore.com/Forum/index.php?topic=3449.0 )

OMG, I am so sorry Sabi

I don't understand this. She developed symptoms OVERNIGHT? Are you sure she didn't show any symptoms whatsoever prior to her death?

This is another good-looking fish disease website that I just found: http://animal-world.com/encyclo/fres...n/Diseases.htm

Re: Please Help!

Sabi and Allie, did you - by any chance - feed these foods to your fish?

As i said, I had noticed her that morning not moving around much and staying in one place just behind a arch. I didnt see anything wrong with her so i didnt worry but then, as they day went by, she stayed pretty much the same. Last night i saw her go to the top and i thought 'shes fine shes going to eat' but then she just stayed at the top. Thats when i knwe something was really wrong. I put in the breeding net because the other angels were getting too curious for my liking and i didnt want hwr to get stressed any more than she was. She started swimming in cricles every now and then and soon after she died. All that i noticed was the red around the gills and her taking sort of "deep breaths".

Oh Sabi... IM so sorry to hear about your angel fish... Its hard to loose them, they are such lovable fish. Sometimes it just happens in spite of everything we do right for them.
