Coral Beauty Angelfish

Can anyone offer some insight into raising a Coral Beauty? Any secrets or tricks of the trade?

I'm new to this sight but I have been doing much research. The coral beauty is a very hardy fish. For your size tank that would be the only angel in it. I would not put in another. Good luck!

Salvatore is right, Coral Beauty's are pretty hardy but they get thier butt kicked by aggressive tangs and other angels like the flame and bicolored. Keep them with other nonaggressive fish. I've not researched them but I've seen this happen alot in peoples tanks. Other than that, give them some marine algae and mysis/brine/whatever and they should be happy campers.

I've had no problem with my coral beauty. Started off shy but is out quite a bit now. Will feed off the live rock, and the back wall alot. Helps keep rock clean. He starting to get brave and come out for the mysis.

haven't had any problems much at all. if i walk up to the tank suddenly he'll dart away, but then will come out and see me. if i come up slowly he'll stay out. he does feed off the rocks and back wall of the tank. from time to time, he gets bits of sand on him from grazing...other than that...i love him! how often do you feed him?

I feed them twice a day. He eats the least though. The chromis and the clowns beat him to it. He will pick off a few then get any stragglers on the rocks.

Don't say that. I've lost two Gobies and a Firefish out the back. I had to put the egg crate on the back where the opening was, so I didn't lose my last Firefish. Here is a picture of my Coral.

I just got a coral beauty It will eat mineral enriched flake food, pellet food, and it likes the brine shrimp this is the only stuff Ive tried to feed it. At first mine was very shy but after one week mine is out around all the time its not even scared when I walk up to the tank and it will eat food off the bottom of the tank yeah also make sure there is a good amount of hiding spots
