Anemone Damaged, need help

One of our anemones was damaged when trying to get a fish out of the 180-gallon tank. The rock it was on fell and it now has a hole in it. Part of the anemone has now started to die off (looks like it's sliming). Should I take the whole thing out or is there some way I can cut (?) off the slimy stuff and see if it heals? Thank you for any advice you can give.

I would leave it alone. It will hopefully heal on it own. Make sure to run lots of carbon, just in case it doesn't make it. Keep a close eye on it.
