It is advisable to wait a few months (6+) before adding an anemone.

What the others have stated is true. At a minimum, 6 months aged. Preferably more along the 1 year mark.

All depends on the tank, IMO. I really dont know how one can derive to such time frame. One can have FO tank for year and other a Reef tank filled with premium live rocks for one month, I would add BTA to month old reef tank w/o second thought.

I agree with the last comment. I have recently added a sebae anemone to my 110 reef, The tank was only two months old but had good readings and over 100 pounds of live rock ( some of which is four year established) Seems now that the anemone is doing well. He has wondered around twice, giving me a challenge to remove him from the intake, but now I made him a small corral in the sand, like a playground he can't get out of, using some small pieces or LR. Today I noticed that he is starting to turn to his natural brown color. fingers crossed!

But to play devil's advocate here, a couple months of a nem looking good doesn't necessarily translate into long term success. Wouldn't it then be advisable to let the tank mature and give yourself the best possible chance at success for an animal that isn't that easy to keep, and often doesn't even reach its adult size in captivity?

Carlos... if I remember correctly, aren't you running power compact lights? A 55 is deep enough that I don't think PCs will allow the necessary light penetration for keeping an anemone. I wouldn't try it without a lighting upgrade... JMO.
