I have kind of a complicated question. I bought a bubble anemone about 1.5 months ago. On his first night in the tank he took upon himself to nestle up to the aquarium heater. He stayed the night. When I woke up the next day; I moved him and was panicked that he was going to die. He died this week. My question is "was he mortally wounded on the first night and it just took this long to croak or could it be something else?" I have a carpet and some other corals in my tank and they're fine. Any comments or suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

How big was the tank? What kind of lighting is on the tank? How old was the tank when you put the anemone in the tank? Need to be answered before any diagnose of why the anemone died.

I hope you took out the anemone right away and ran carbon on your tank to get rid of the toxic substances anemones put out when they die.
