This is correct. Anemones should only be placed in established tanks. The problem with that is they may not like where you put them, and as they move to try to find "their" spot, they will create a wave of destruction killing everything in their path.
Look up the
LPS coral "frogspawn". It looks similar to an anemone and come in a few colors, including green w/ purple tips, which I'm looking for. Also, hammer coral and torch coral. Clowns may host in all of these. My pair of tank raised ocellaris started hosting a frogspawn about 3 weeks after I put it in. It was like one day, it just felt natural to be inside of it and they never left. The benefit of these LPS corals is that they will stay where you put them, not walk all over your tank killing stuff.
All that, PLUS their lighting requirements are the same or less than an anemone's and you don't have to wait 6months to put one in.
