carpet anemone

Anyone have one? How difficult is the care of one? I've seen them in a couple different stores and am interested in getting one in a few months. Also how old should a tank be before getting one? I know the standard rule is 6 months but is it different for this one?

I don't have one - my tank is not big enough. They need a huge tank, couple hundred gallons. And they can be difficult to keep (frequent feedings, proper lighting, water parameters, etc). They can sting tank mates and if I remember correctly they can even eat fish and other invertebrates. Stichodactyla gigantea, S. haddoni, S. mertensii are the anemones commonly known as carpet anemones if you want to look 'em up.

The bubble tip anemone is thought of as one of the easier anemones to keep, but they can still be difficult and need lots of attention and good to great water quality too.
