Hi
I moved your question out of antbfc's thread.
It's best to start your own thread rather than in someone else's.

I think I've seen the video you're asking about. I think it's made with 2 small dishes and some sort of spacer.
From what I remember, you take a small dish, silicone marbles (?) or some other type of spacer around the edges. You take a second small dish, turn it upside and silicone it to the spacers.
You'll want to make sure the frogs can get in and out while making sure your betta cannot get to the food.

Keep a close eye on things, not all Bettas will accept an ADF as a tank mate.

Good luck.

That's a good way to spot feed an ADF in a community tank.

Just be sure not to get SW into the Betta/ADF tank.
Even with that, watch the Betta, they're little piggies and will swoop in to grab food before the slower ADF knows it's there.

lol i know ill rinse it with the distled water i have for the saltwater. i was also thinking of not testing the tank for chemicals and just let the filter and heater run with everything in it for a month. my friend did that with a saltwater and it fine without out a singal water change and he just puts sea buffer in when he tops off the water. (ill do water changes everyt other week)im also gonna use a filter for a thirty gallon(the one thats in my SW now cause we are getting a new caister filter!! ).
Aaaaaaaand can you use a grvel vac with a frog in there?

You need a source of ammonia to cycle a FW tank. I don't know about SW, it might be different than cycling FW.
Please don't subject a betta or a frog to the cycling process. The ammonia and nitrite levels are toxic. You risk illness and even death.
You'll be looking at doing daily water changes until the tank cycles, which can take 6 weeks.
Why not try one of these:
Four Methods of Fish Less Cycling

If you're getting a 5g tank, a filter rated for 30g is probably going to be more than a Betta or ADF can handle.

Yes, You can use a small gravel vac.

yea i know im not using that filter since it dosent fit on the tank.

ill probably use the raw fish like i did with the saltwater.

5.5" x 5.5" x 5.5"? Is that tank .72 gallons? Did I figure that wrong?
Please don't put a Betta in that container. Males can get up to 3", he won't even have room to move around.
IMO a Betta shouldn't be in anything less than 5g's. Some members do well with 2.5g.

Yea it's alot smaller than i thought it would be i'll see if I can fit my empty 5 gallon on my desk but how many times should a water change since there's no filter? And does. Anyone know where I can get a battery operated heater?
Would a heat lamp for lizards make the water too hot?

Yeah, any "tank" stores advertise for bettas are too small for a betta or any fish. It's really sad the things they sell.
You'll need to do complete water changes a couple of times a week or at any point you have any ammonia reading if you don't have a filter to cycle the tank.
I don't know of any battery powered heaters. Perhaps someone else does.

Just a suggestion, you might want to wait and save some money for the proper equipment before getting another fish.

Some members keep their bettas in 2.5. Personally, I wouldn't go for less than a 5g. for a betta.

The problem with that is you can't control what temp the water gets and at night when you turn the lamp off the water would cool down.
Why not just get a heater if you're thinking about a heat lamp?

the cord wont be able to reach the plug. i really dont know what to do cause winter is coming and actually tonight its really cold. i dont think they have battery operated heaters or anything battery operated that can produce heat!!

How about if you plug it into a surge protector (not a plain extension cord)? That'll give you a little extra length.
