| From Amplexus to Froglet Some of you know I have male and female African Dwarf Frogs.
I've tried raising the tadpoles with no luck.
Until now!
I've posted a couple of these pictures before but thought I'd try and put them for reference.
ADF's 'hugging' the right way. The frog on top is the male. If you look closely, you can see a red spot under his arm. Spawning ADFs.JPG
This is the wrong way, silly frogs. IMG_0164.JPG
Some unhatched and hatched eggs. They look like grains of rice when they first hatch. Hatchd and unhatchd eggs.JPG
In a few days, they're no smaller than the tip of the pencil. tadpoles.jpg
Sadly, none of these little guys made it. Last edited by Lucy; October 11th, 2009 at 06:44 PM.

| After losing so many, I let the parent have the eggs.
My most recent try at raising tadpoles came from feeling sorry for a tiny tadpole I found in the parent tank. I moved him to a critter keeper.
I don't have any pictures from when he was small. Honestly, my track record stinks and I didn't think he'd make it. To my surprise, he did.

I haven't named him yet. Heck, I never really named the parents, they're collectivly known as The Froggers. lol Quote:

One of the coolest things was one day he had tadpole eyes the next frog eyes. |

I was feeding frozen BBS, First Bites and Ken's Golden Pearls.
Once he stopped top feeding he always had his nose between the rocks looking for food.
Oh, I fed him a frozen blood worm a few days ago.
There was a younger sibling (still a tadpole) in the tank with him. I haven't seen him since Thurs or Fri, so I guess that's what happened.
I knew I should have separated them. Quote:

I'm a little worried, I don't know if he's eaten today.
I did a full water change to get all the snails and junk out and put a food dish in there so I can watch to see if he eats. |

| Froglet to Frog A few updated pictures.
He's (she? lol) gotten so big. Not nearly the size of his parents.
