Mixing

So at my brother's school, the principal has some aquariums and terrariums in his classroom. He has one tank set up as a paludarium. In it for the last five years he had a 12 inch Tiger Salamander and 3 Firebellied Toads. Everything got along and did great until someone stole the toads.

Well, actually they found all three toads dead in one of the students cars. Good thing the kid moved to Saginaw.

I'm glad to hear the problem moved away. How sad.

That's pretty sad about the toads, but mixing those two species isn't really a good idea.
Tigers are burrowers that need a good amount of dirt to dig in. Firebelly toads, however, are semi-aquatic. Not to mention the toxins that firebelly toads possess and the fact that they could become a potential snack for the tiger sal.
