Where can I find them?

I have been looking all over for either Keyhole Cichlids or Cupid Cichlids. Why are they so dang hard to find. I can't find them at any of my LFS's or online? Does anyone have any suggestions? Some of the employees at my LFS's kept trying to talk me into other south american cichlids (most of which are aggressive) and completely missed the point. I am looking for peaceful south american cichlids that don't exceed 6 inches.

Check www.aquabid.com.

We may have some here at the fishhouse later this year, if our breeding pair cooperates.

Yeah I looked on aquabid and they have nothing right now. Let me know if you have luck with yours

Too bad you don't live here. Our lfs has them regularly. I too was planning on a keyhole cichlid tank in the near future.

It's such bad luck because my LFS actually had a batch in, but my tank was not ready for them yet, and now they don't have any more and don't know when they will be getting more

Yay! I found some today I decided to look in the yellow pages and I found this amazing aquatics warehouse I had never been to before. They had an amazing selection of everything. I got 3 keyholes (though I am only going to keep two) and I am going to wait and see if I can get two to pair up (I can't sex them yet because they are to young). If they are all the same sex then I will keep all 3. I'll try to post some pics tomorrow.

Yay!! I really want some now. They say they pair off for life...so you may have to keep just a male & female eventually.

That's what I'm hoping (given that I have at least one of each sex among my three)
