| Hi Kacie
Ooo so nice to finally see the photos of your little ones! Now I know what the blue neons look like. They are so gorgeous. Great job and I like the tank set up. Looking at the blue neons they remind me of two fish. One, the shape of their head reminds me of the firemouth, along with the spot on the side. The fin shape and the sparkles remind me of the german blue rams.
They are so nice.. and they look very happy in their new home! |

| JD, I'm sorry to hear about your females and the ick. Do you have any idea why it happened? What species do you have? How do you tell the male and female apart? Oh I have many more questions... Please post pictures. |

| More pictures. Unfortunately my tank is now covered in algae but if you can see through the fuzziness you can see that their top fin is getting darker. |

I've got new pictures and news. I had a pair spawn but the eggs disapeared before I could get a divider in there. They have grown alot and really colored up. The dark stripe on the top fin comes and goes depending upon their mood.
Oh and you can see my new BN Pleco in these shots too. |

| Hi Kacie
wow have they colored up nicely as they matured. They are beautiful.. I would love to find them around here, a nice replacement for GBRs in a tank! So happy to hear they are doing great.. and even spawned for you! |

| Hi Kate,
What tank were you thinking of them for?
I divided the tank this afternoon with my big male and the other female(I hope) on one side. They have been claiming the log in the middle and pushed everyone else to the otherside anyway so I hope they spawn there. Nobody in the tank is particularly happy about it. I hope it doesn't backfire.
I'd just love to raise some fry. |

I'd just love to raise some fry. | I was thinking of adding some GBRs to my 125, and seeing how gorgeous yours look, if they were available around here I would try the blue neons instead.
Best of luck... and hope they spawn for you too! |

| Kate,
That would be an awesome tank but don't forget they like a cooling off period at around 60f. |
