brown algae

has anyone had brow algae growing in their tank?i was just wondering if anyone knows anything about it and if plecos,or mbuna cichlids will eat it?also if that means something might be wrong with my water.

Do you have any direct sunlight on your tank, because that can cause the algae to grow

there is some sunlight on it.i want green algae to grow but not the brown.
