Darn Diatoms!

i have seen diatoms in my tank for a while. At first they were in a corner. I didnt pay attention to them as they usually come and go, however this is getting out of hand. It is now covering some parts on the front of the glass, sides and even on the gravel. How can i clean it? I intend to use the filter's media to wipe the glass, but how do i get rid of the gravel one? its ugly and it appears as if it has gotten in between the creases on the gravel.

The tank is a 2.5gallon and is NOT in direct sunlight. I dont suspect it is the light, as it is a LED light that i bought separately. It is the marina betta kit led light. NOTE: i dont have that kit LOL i just have the light.

Anyone know how i can get rid of it?
Thanks

Patience, diatoms are a common "pest" in new setups, but usually disappear sooner or later. BN pleco's are great for cleaning up diatoms, but not in a 2.5 gallon tank...

Hello Tony. TnB is correct. It may not look to pretty right now but it will eventually go away on it's own. You can just stir the gravel a bit and that will help. Might cloud up your tank a while but....
Happy Halloween!
