red algae

I have a fake plant in my aquarium and it is starting to grow red stuff on it. I believe it is algae. I tested my water and everything is great. The photo attached is the best I could take.

Hello Fishingman. Here is a link you may find interesting to read and may help with the algae.

Your tank is fairly new so you might be having brown algae. Can you get your hands on some snail or BN pleco?

Yes wait and make sure you do not leave leftover food on the floor otherwise the BN will eat that instead.

Out of curiosity, what type of fish do you have? Of course you have a BN lol
