Stubborn Algae Growth

Hi All!
I have been having trouble controlling green filament type algae that latches onto the glass and swings in the movement of water. My solution is to scrape it off where I can reach. I did have temporary success with a pond algae killer, but am not keen on using chemicals all the time.

Having said that, nothing has helped to remove this brown algae? growing on the rocks. It's not aggressive - just doesn't look too good. It really latches on and impossible to scrape off. The mollies only have an occasional interest in it as do my BN's, but not enough to make a dent in it.
I'm running out of ideas on how to remove it. I'm not keen on pulling out the rocks, but unless I learn to like the look of it, or if someone has another solution...
Look forward to any ideas.

That would be a nice solution. They should live in harmony with the others? My lot all get on with each other. I'll look them up and convince the missus hopefully!

An executive decision has been made! We are going hunting for some Ottos! Research tells me to be careful not to purchase miss labeled Chinese Algae Eaters! From what I've read, I definitely don't want them in the tank. Which is a pity really - I like them except for the part where they love to bore into the sides of other fish!

I've ordered six ottos from the LFS and should get them next week. If they settle in, I wouldn't mind getting more of them.
Meanwhile, I'm going to make room for them by starting to move my mollies out. They're going to overtake the tank otherwise.

Being so small, I'm wondering whether I can use my 12 litre tank as a QT for the ottos? My 60 litre will have the mollies in them, and the last time I added fish direct into the main tank caused me a lot of grief!
