some of my plants get brown like algae on them, i rub it off the plants before a water change, is this algae bad or nothing to worry about.There is no algae on the glass.

does it look like spots of brown? if so then it's probably diatom algae and is nothing to worry about, especially if your tank has been set up for less than 6 months or so. diatoms are definitely "new tank" algae, and go away after a matter of a few months

I had that problem too, now the bottom of the tank (and some of the glass) are being overrun by spots of brown. Curse you algae!
