I noticed tonight for the first time that on the front of my 10 gallon, there is like little white hairs stuck on the glass... they almost look like the worms that I see floating around sometimes. I scraped most of them off with my algea brush but I still want to know what this is or if its harmful. thanks!

sounds like hydra, do they look like they have little hairs coming off of the end of the large white 'hair' ? (sort of like a dandelion)

If not then its most likely hair algae, which is usually green in color
