White dots..what are they??

I just was looking in my 29gal tank and noticed that there are little white dots everywhere. All over my driftwood and a few on the rocks.. What is this? I havent heard of an algae thats white dots. Could it be eggs of some sort.. Right now in the tank we have Siamese Algae eaters, tetra, gourami, ghostshrimp, albino pleco's and 4 batman snails also called Nerites.. The snails ive looked up on and they cant breed unless they have brackish water. Thats why I went with these snails so they wouldnt breed.
Does anyone know that the white dots could be??
I took pictures of the dots on my driftwood!

I have never seen algae like that before. It almost looks like eggs to me. But I cannot be sure.
Hopefully someone will come along and give you a hand with this.

They look flat, like some plant seeds.
I wonder if they're some sort of bacterial colony. Same concept as algae, just a different type of cell. Could be that it's colonizing where excess food has fallen.

I have no idea they look scary I would try to take them off before something happens. I think they are harmless but I m very interested on what they are. Never seen them before. How long have they been there?
