Today I saw some Black Algea...I cut out the live plants that I saw it on.
But now I need some info on HOW to control it.
I have Two OTOS so I can't kill off all the algae as the otos would go hungry. and my tank is at its bio-load now so I am unable to add any other fish.

You can suppliment the otos diet with cucumber, zucchini, squash, or algae wafers or pellets if you needed to zap all the algae.

Also, it seems to me that they eat things that we can't see. Mine will spend all day scraping the glass, when there is nothing I can see there, but they're pooping up a storm, so obviously they're eating something. I do supplement their diets with veggies, but only once every 3 days or so, because they all seem content eating whatever is on the plants/glass.

Too bad on the stock issue, IMO, the best black algae control tends to be a good group of algae eating fish. Siamese Algae eaters are good at keeping this type of algae under control, and Rosy barbs are also known to snack on this type of algae.

In your case, it is best to manually remove any affected leaves, plants and remove - if possible - any decor and clean it. It is nearly impossible to remove black algae without tearing up the plant leaf and causing tissue damage so simply snipping off the affected leaves is the best way.

The first thing I did was cut the plants back that I could see the Black Algae on. Now the tank is alittle more open.
