W/Oto's - how often should I rid of algae?

I have 3 new otos in my 10 gallon tank. It does seem to accrue (good word, huh? ) lots of algae. I often leave the light on for 8-12 hours, it depends on the day. (I know 12 is quite awful.. but hey, it happens!)

So my question is, how often should I clean the algae off of my colliseum decor and the walls? I used to do it every week before I bought them.

id just let them go to work, and just wash if it gets out of hand. maybe some more oto's or another fish could help you eliminate cleaning all together!

Great word, but am a bit confused as it means your algae is increasing as a result of the otos being added?

Why do you want to clean the algae? I know some people just find it disgusting, but it won't hurt the fish. All I can say is I never clean the algae. In fact, am dying for some algae in my oto tank as the guys don't have any to eat at the moment.

thanks! lol but no, it's not increasing as a result of the otos. I just get a lot but I don't want to eliminate their source of food! thanks for the advice.

We got algae, but they ate them all, and they never came back!
