Why so many bubbles at surface?

i have a small round airstone, small square airstone and 3 bubble wands with the tetra whipser up to 60 gallons. i currently have a lot of bubbles staying at the surface, most are when the wands are on, so i shut them off, but still their are a lot of bubbles staying. Is this bad? What is causing it? Is it just because i need to clean them?

What kind of water conditioner do you use. I noticed when I use stress coat it does this.

maybe your getting a surface film on your water, you might try one of those surface skimmers and see if that helps,

I was getting a film on my water when I was using a bacterial additive in addition to my water conditioner. To further aggravate it, I used a pH powder to adjust my pH. BIG MISTAKE. Once I cut out all of the unnecessary stuff and did a daily 10% water change and used only one water conditioner, things cleared up over night! I don't think that Cycle would do it, but if you are using any other add-ins, they can leave a film not only on your water surface, but on your decorations etc. Good luck!

Usually the sign of bubbles not popping is the water quality isn't good. When was the last time you did a water change?

Is cycle a water conditoner? I know that it is a additive that you can add that claims to speed up the cycle, but does it condition the water too? The product Cycle doesn't actually speed up the nitrogen cycle though. It contains the wrong kind of bacteria, that's why on the bottle it directs you to keep using it. It really hurts the cycle because it uses the ammonia and nitrites starving the real bacteria of them. I would suggest you quit using cycle asap. Do you have a test kit? Knowing your ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels will help a ton. Also if you quit using cycle your tank might start to cycle the right way and you'll need to know those levels so you can keep your fish safe and happy.

the last time i changed it was last week and i made a new change today and it didn't work. though i do use aqua plus to dechlorinate my water and sometimes use cycle. should i not use aqua plus when changing my water? though if i didn't dechlorinate my tap water wouldnt i kill the fish?

maybe its because i add the aqua plus into the tank instead of in the tap water before mixing it with the tank. should i start dechlorinating the tap water in the bucket first?
