Bubble wand bubbles at surface

I have a 35 gallon freshwater hexagon tank and I put a bubble wand in it to help with oxygenation but the bubbles are all collecting at the surface and I'm worried that it's blocking the oxygen on the surface. Is this normal or is something wrong?

Hi kschimmenti...what products do you use in the tank? and what type of outtake flow do you have on your filter to mix up the top other than the bubble wand?

Hi there, I have a Tetra power filter and where the water flows out stays open but the whole circumference of the surface is covered in bubbles.

Bubbles at the surface

I have a 35 gallon freshwater hexagon tank and I put a bubble wand in it to help with oxygenation but the bubbles are all collecting at the surface and I'm worried that it's blocking the oxygen on the surface. Is this normal or is something wrong? When I feed the fish, it breaks the surface tension and the bubbles go away temporarily. Obviously where the filter outtake is flowing, there are no bubbles but all around are. I attached a picture so you can see what I'm talking about. Any ideas?

If you have a valve to lower the water pressure in your air tube, you can turn down that air pressure so not to have all those bubbles. If you dont have a valve on your air pump, you can buy a valve at the pestore and follow the directions on adding it to your air pump.

Mine does the same. Do the air bubbles hurt anything?
