FLexible bubble wand

Has anyone tried the new flexible bubble wand from MarineLand?
Lookes like the long blue ones I've been using, but these are supposed to be weighted and bendable. No more suction cups and floating off! It sounds too good to be true! Can't wait to install one. Anyone tried it yet; do they really stay sunken?

they arent new around here..and yes they stay sunken to a degree more than the others for sure..and they are pretty flexible to move around which is so convenient ..but at least in my case, they dont last as long (even the flexible ones) ...lg_rd_120809_17542D.jpg <--has the best longevity with these ones

Thanks. Ya, I figured out after I posted that they weren't all that new. For some reason I haven't seen them in my area. I mainly grab my aquarium supplies at PetSmart, so it's weird that they don't carry them.
Thanks for the advice. I get so ****ed when I pass by the tank and the wand is floating at the top. I dont' have time for the crummy suction cups!

Oh, one more thing....
How often should airstones be replaced?

I like the bendable airwands. You can half bury them in the substrate too to hide them even more. I've only had mine for a few weeks so I don't know how often you have to replace them, but if they're not that bad then I would replace it every year.

I seem to notice that the wands loose their bubble effect about 2-3 months after adding them...the longer flatter ones in the pic, I usually put under a piece of driftwood or in my silk plants to keep them stable...
