Not sure if I am having bad luck or these air pumps are plagued with problems. I have three whisper 100's with the duel ports all 6 diaphragms are already bad. Only 5 to 6 months of use the repair kit is around $4.00. At this rate I will have to repair about twice a year. Signs that you have a punctured diaphragm is your air pump will become a lot louder and you will notice that you are not getting as much air bubbles as you did before. I also have a whisper 60 which is still fine. Is anybody else having this sort of problem and if so is this the normal life span of this air pump. I recently bought a different brand from the LFS and it is to early to tell if I will have the same problems. I checked the warrently and everything is covered but the diaphragms go figure

i've always had some problems with whisper products (filters for me, not air pumps). however, the company is actually pretty good about replacing the broken ones. whispers came with my 5 gallon kits and i've had to replace two of them already
