| Efficient use of small airpumps. I want to share my experience with an easy way to use a small, one output, airpump so it feeds two airstones even if it's designed to feed only one.
I tried this with the Elite 799 and the Stellar S-10, both designed for one airstone only. The Hagen Elite 799 air pressure is barely 1.0psi; the ToM Stellar-10 doubles that at 2.3psi. In my final set up I left the Stellar S-10 running for obvious reasons (more powerful).
I noticed that when using a single T to split the single output into two airstones, only one of them would work.
I tried using a dual airvalve assembly, but it was really hard to find the adjustment or equilibrium where it works, specially with the Elite 799.
I solved this by placing a single, in-line airflow valve on the T side of the one that works -where air is comming out. By slightly limiting the air in that direction, I was able to have air going through both airstones.
Sharing this simple solution in the hope it is helpful to other fishlorians.
