i am at a loss with every fish i have attempted to keep. i was thinking about africans, though i dont know if it is reccomended. I have been talking to someone with africans and they reccomend overstocking, though the tank shouldn´t be any smaller than 40g....
what do you guys think? the tank is 32g 36"Lx 13" wide, 18"tall...
do you think i could pull it off??

Sorry, Tony, but I really think 32g is too small. I wouldn't go smaller than 48" long and 55g. Hang on though, maybe some of our more experienced African cichlid keepers will have some information that may help you.

tetra tanks are cool...gosh knows I love them..but taller tanks limits you..they are horizontal swimmers ....

i will have to work out the filter problem first. Im gonna move the tank sometime this week downstairs... i have to plan it all out carefully! haha it should be interesting. Ok at the top of my head, here´s what i could stock with...

2 Angels (it would be nice to have the pair, but if not, too bad )
8 tetras (dont know what kind) OR 8 Danios
1 Raphael catfish
and SOME of the guppies i have now, Including my beautiful pastel momma which i havent properly introduced

i would have to plant it though...

Well I can tell you if you ever get a tank for africans let me know. Freebies waiting for ya here. Another thing if you try to put plants with africans the plants will last a week at the most.
