African Jewels breading

Hi guys... it's been a while!

So I have a second 2ool tank now. I got it from a friend that moved away. there were 4 african jewels in the tank. but when i got them they were grey - since i've changed their food to nice live blood worms and brine shrimp etc they have gone bright red... and they have eggs... and 2 have been killed by the pair breeding (atleast I know they are happy - seeing they are suddenly breeding)
(so why will my friend have them for 2 years and never had them go red or have eggs or kill the others?)

Anyone able to guide me on where to from here with the eggs and the babies etc?

Oh I faild to mention...

I have the temp at about 25'c (77f) - I had direct sunlight on the one side of the tank and they seem to LOVE it! (but wow the algae)

The pH is between 7 and 8 ... usually less than 8.

Like i said have them for only 2 weeks now and have changed quite allot in their tank. they use to only have sand and a filter - lol! Now they have some wood and plants too

... and wow do they bite!!! putting in the wood i felt it!
