adopted cichlid added to new tank too aggressive?

A friend of ours has a Yellow Lab that they adopted from another friend, they have had him alone in a tank for a while. They no longer can take care of him and asked us if we would take him. She is 3 inches long (I think its a girl) so she is a bit bigger than the fish I have. If I get her I will QT her for a few weeks- but my question is will this fish be too aggressive being alone for most of its life or will it be ok to adopt?

I have:
5 Labidocromis
3 Blue Socolophi
2 Saulosi
3 Giant Danios
1 Bushy Nose Pleco
In a 55 gallon tank

Thanks

yellow labs generally are less aggressive than most other mbuna. it should be ok with your other cichlids but when you introduce it to your tank keep an eye on thing for awhile

id worry more about the others picking on her...I agree labs are laid back...the socolophi's are the meanies in my tank

Every fish is different, but given that it is a female and of a more layed back species, I would say go for it.
As for Socolofi they can be nasty, I have an albino male that thinks he is the boss over all my chipokie

well when I went to get the fish (had never seen it before except in pictures) it was 6 inches long! I dont get where she thought it was 3 inches- MY fish are 3 inches. BEAUTIFUL fish but Im sure it would have killed all the little ones in my tank. She listed it on Craigs list in Little Rock Arkansas if anyone wants to adopt it

Your fish probably would have been ok....but.....not worth the risk....
