baby cichlid tank mates

would a small African Cichlid (i think it's a malawi cichlid) be able to live in a regular community tank until it is fully grown? it's abut 1.5 inches long.

i don't want answers that say they need a certain pH or they need this type of temperature, i just want to know if it will attack smaller fish like danios or guppies. it is only 1.5 inches.

thanx

I wouldn't recomend it. mine have killed and eaten fish when they were about 3/4". so the smaller fish would most likely end up as food for the cichlid

no they cannot...among the things you mentioned that you DONT want to hear, which should be considered so they wont die, they will kill tropicals as others have said....even as juvies

NO, simple enough. If I took a pic of one I got out of my fry tank just yesterday you would see why, they are only 3/4 an inch long and literally ate one of the other frys eye off. I saw them attacking it. They are evil little buggers even at baby stage.
