peacocks aggression?

My dad's friends has cichlids he wants to give to me, i think they are peacock cichlids. they are purple and blue with vertical stripes.

anyway, can they live in a community tank? guppies, danios, kuhlies etc.

thanks

PS do not tell me i'm overstocked, i know.

hmmmm..I'm afraid your guppies, danios and kuhlies may end up being a bed time snack for the peacocks. Let's see what some others have to say....

yep thanks for that, one more thing i heard the peacocks and a few other Malwai Cichlids are aggressive to each other but if only 1 are kept with other fish (not cichlids) they are fine. is this true or false?

also i saw on youtube a man had 7 danios with a convict cichlid. are convicts ussaully aggressive? the danios were not feeders.

africans(peacocks) and other malawi's are a species ONLY kinda fish...cannot be with others....so thats false on the first question...

and on the second, cons are mean mean mean...hence their name LOL...sometimes you can keep a single one in a community tank..but have a back up plan... especially if they are a mating pair..they will kill or stress any other fish in the tank...
